Mozart and Catarina is a vibrant historical novel in Portuguese that pictures the spiced backstage of the Habsburg’s society between 1789 and 1791, in Vienna.
The story tells us about the utmost privacy of the great genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, portraying his music, his routine, his concerns, his victories, his defeats, his meetings with other historical characters such as Beethoven, Casanova, Haydn, among others, and his love affairs, focusing on his relationship with the fictitious character of Catarina.
In search for cure for her depression, Ingrid returns to the past through the Therapy of Past Lives, and finds herself in the body of the costume designer Catarina Rossini, who inevitably initiates a stormy relationship with the maestro Mozart, unchaining a series of unexpected events. The obsession without borders of the voluptuous Italian brings her the happiest days of her life, but also the most desperate nights in her existence.
In an account of the vestiges of this wild love, Catarina could never imagine that she would be responsible for sealing the fate of the perpetual prodigy child of Salzburg, causing his precocious and tragic end.
